A2L Refrigerants

Legislation enacted in 2020 authorized the EPA to phase down the production and use of hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) and required HVAC manufacturers to transition to the next level of low-GWP (global warming potential) refrigerants for all new residential and commercial ducted HVAC systems manufactured as of Jan 1, 2025, and installed within a limited time frame.
